The weather was gray and depressing on this day and I was tired from 10 days of being a "power tourist" so I took it easy most of the day.  I took a long walk around 3 PM and ended up getting to see the Archeology Museum and the King's house for free.  No pictures of the archeology museum, I had hoped they would caption the displays in both English and Norwegian, but no luck.  So unfortunately, I didn't get much out of it.
A beautiful cemetery down the road from my flat. People plant actual plants in dirt here instead of bringing cut or fake flowers, it's very nice.

Ledaal - King Harald's royal residence (when he's in town).   Don't know what the other building is, I just liked the statues.
Day 14
Tuesday, June 26
After work I took off back through Oltedal to do the hike I didn't have time for on Saturday.  It's up to a waterfall called Monafossen.  It was a nice trip.  The waterfall was nice but to me the best part was the drive up to the area.  A big tractor was broken down on the little skinny road up to the falls.  The old farmer who was trying to fix it and I worked together to figure out how to get my car around the tractor.  He didn't speak English but we laughed a lot and managed to get the car around.
At the bottom of the falls This was a long, smooth chute where the water was moving very fast.     The waterfall
On the way out of the falls area

This picture is for Eric.  He would love to climb here. A bigger, more beautiful falls nearby but there wasn't a hiking trail to it (that I know of).

Pretty little houses down in the valley
This picture is also for Eric.  He sure loves his rocks.

Day 15
Wednesday, June 27
These are just some pictures I took while I was on a walk in the neighborhood near my flat.  I've been getting a lot of my exercise by walking, so that I exercise and sight-see at the same time.  See, I'm already learning from the Norwegians!

This was a very strange tree, I've never seen anything like it A view over the city from on top of the hill above my flat.

Those are all boats out in the harbor - so many of them! Nice statue in someone's yard
