My little "bean" car - it has been great to have. | Check out the key to the car - weird! | My hotel room for
the first 5 nights. |
The outlets look different and carry 230 volts. | The light switches are all big, flat buttons. | The toilets flush
similar to those on airplanes. There are always either knobs which
you pull upward or buttons to press to make them flush. |
This is my apartment building. It is between Bergelandsgata and Kongsgata streets, near Erichstrups Gate street. The higher floors overlook the small, beautiful lake called Breiavanet that's in the center of town. It's a beautiful apartment. Pictures of the inside are below.

This is the office where I work, it belongs to Petter Hermansen. He was away in Thiland for a month and didn't mind leaving me his office at all! |
Oh look, there's Petter now! |
This is the view from the office. You can actually open the window - there's no screen or anything - to hear the seagulls and feel the sea breeze. Cool! |

This is what you see as you walk in | A "panoramic" view of the bathroom
Nice little kitchen | Although I rarely sit here, this is my favorite
room. It's so pretty with all the light wood furniture. |

The living area |
There's another bedroom as well, but that's where all my junk is piled so you can't see that!
The patio as seen from the living room | My view if I look to the right from my patio. The pretty pond in the middle of town is just on the other side of that red building. Also, although you can't see it here, the streets are cobblestone in the pedestrian area.
Here's a map of downtown Stavanger which shows the harbor area and my flat.
