Our Trip to Montana - Day 5 Monday, August 26 |
This was our last day and boy did we ever pack
it with activities! We went on a road trip with Rose, then back to the
ranch for some visiting, then to Whitefish to see Aunt Ada, then to a
Casazza cookout. It was a good finish to a great vacation. |

This is the Libby dam | This is the view of Lake Koocanusa from the dam area
Here we are at Ross Creek. My friend Rob told me about the Ross Creek Cedars near Troy so we had to go check them out. |
They snuck past the barricade to get to the bathrooms, but the doors were locked - denied! |
Preparing our picnic lunch
Isn't that sweet?! | |||
Getting our first glimpses of the gigantic trees... |
Eric sees a hole and has to climb inside | This is the view from inside the dead giant cedar tree
Eric found a rock, so he had to climb it.

Rose blowing her Shofar |
This was a strange plant I had never seen before. It was pretty, whatever it was. |
Rose taking a last look at the beautiful spot, Eric hoofing it for the car
A view of the Cabinet mountains as we left the park | Now we're at the Kootenai Falls, ready to do more touristing
This area was very beautiful, and watching the power of the water swirling below was really impressive |

Now we're at Aunt Ada's house for a too brief visit with her |
Here we're getting a tour of their new place,
which used to belong to Ada's mother. It's a very nice house. |
We always enjoy time spent visiting
with Ada. We wish Uncle Larry could have been there too. |
Now here we are at a cookout that Jeb & Amy had
for us it was very good! |
Kids playing and the grown ups (can we really call
ourselves that?) talking. |
