On this day we went with a small group to visit an area prison and to dedicate a classroom that Joyce Meyer Ministries built there.  Most of our group went to the Leadership Conference which we were hosting for the area. We were able to rejoin the conference just before it ended.

Later that day we handed out handbills again - this time in the more remote areas.  We loved doing handbills because you really got to connect with people (via the translators.)  That evening was the first of the three amazing festivals.  What a full day!

There was a big medical team from Tulsa there at the same time that we were.
They saw thousands of people for every imaginable health issue.

Me, E, and Tracy - ready for the day.

Some of the beautiful ladies from the trip.

Part of our prison team. Our guides for the prison visit.

Seen from the van on the way to the prison. The front gate.

Two of the young men who helped us there and joined us
at the festivals each evenings.  The one on the right is Soviet.
Two prisoners just outside the wall, hauling something away.

It was at this point they made us put our cameras away.
Both Terry and Eric got to speak and it went very well.
We also dedicated a classroom that Joyce Meyer Ministries
 has built for the inmates.

These two pictures were given to me by Pastor Socheat from Kampong Cham Presbyterian church, who does the teaching at the prison.
This was not the exact day we were there, but it looked almost exactly like this.

Back in the van, giving a ride to our new friends. Yes, it is always safety first in Cambodia.

A boy selling water in front of the theater where the
 Leadership Conference was taking place.
We stopped to give an update to two of the Joyce Meyer Ministries
men who were arranging things for us.  That's Ron on the left.

A blurry shot of the crowd.

We got there just as they were calling people forward for prayer.  That was an
amazing experience.  It truly did not matter what language either of us spoke,
there was communication in the midst of prayer that was really moving.

Our team doing a great job in the super hot auditorium. The crowd did a great job of worshipping in the heat as well.

The hallway at the hotel near our room where most of our meetings were held. The lobby of the hotel and Eric chilling there.

Misty, Kelly, and Gretchen - waiting for time to go to lunch, we did a lot of waiting!

The son of the lady who ran the restaurant. (I think)

Scenes from lunch.  And no, I did not try the Grass Jelly drink, sorry.

Sarah, she can't stop being cute! Eric gave Chom Tae Kwon Do lessons, he did great!

Self defenses... kicks, the whole nine yards.

Waiting to be taken out for our second afternoon of giving out handbills.

Eric, working on that attitude (we were tired
and we knew the day was only half over!)

Fashionistas, comparing shoes.   A roundabout in town.

Eric and Chom in a deep discussion with a new friend. Our friends from the prison climbed up on those poles to hang that banner
you see on top for our festival.  Those guys were amazing!

Gretchen got this great shot of a typical street where we did handbills. We always did this in the afternoon, which seemed to be nap time.

Another street where we did handbills.

Some of our friends with the
  handbills we distributed.

Our team that day, it was a good group.

Our friends heading back in a modified motorcycle car thing.

Joyce Meyer's son Dave ran the whole show.  Here he is with some
of the medical people from Tulsa.

I really hope this was a staged
 picture, those things were crazy
 scary!

Our friend Ly. Me & Ly

We're killing time before an early dinner.
Our festival poster on the fence outside our hotel.

This was taken outside the festival at about 5pm.  Many people had set up
carnival type games to take advantage of the expected crowds.
(This was not sanctioned!)
Some of the volunteers who helped put on the festival.

Hanging out before things got started.

This is the Heartland church music team.  We got to spend a lot of time with them and
really loved their heart to help people.  In the center is our new friend Channa.

This is Channa's beautiful daughter and a friend.

A closer shot of Channa and the team. Cute little ones in the crowd.

Here Channa translates for "The Chairman"
I never heard his real name but he was a sweet man.

If the temps dropped into the 60's they were
 breaking out the winter clothes!

Here's the Chairman again.

Here's the baby from above, without the hat.
Many people wore pajamas around all the time.  I've heard that
Cambodia makes a lot of the world's PJs - maybe that's why.
Next up at the festival was New Life church out of Phnom Penh.
They were really great.

The dancing and merry-making started early.

Movie Moment: More of Joe dancing to New Life

Our friends from the prison, Soviet on the left
and I'm sad that I've forgotten the other boy's name.

Another shot of the New Life team - everyone loved them.

Here Pastor David and one of our great translators speaks to the crowd.
The crowd was very attentive and receptive.

Next it was time for the Church of the Harvest / Victory band.  It was great!!

LaShonda making a friend and sharing her umbrella with her.

Back at the hotel, the geckos were waiting for us.
How many kind you find in the picture above?

We gathered for a late-night supper.  Here's some of the odd pop on offer.  Jen - settling in to our new hotel
