Family started to
arrive late Thursday night, so we spent time visiting with the new
arrivals on Friday morning. We had lunch in town with oldest brother
Larry, his wife Mary Beth, and Katie, their youngest daughter. Then
it was back to the ranch to help prepare for the rehearsal dinner, which
was held at the ranch and was a great success. |

Another beautiful morning on Glen Lake | Looking back at the cabin from the water's edge. |
Loons on the lake | Me at the cabin |
Eric at the cabin, each year he has to check up on the progress of those ants that live at the base of the tree beside him. | Me in front of the lake |
Larry, Mary Beth, Katie, and Rebecca arrive. | Rebecca Casazza |
Rose's sisters Corrine and ___ arrived and we all took the short trip up to Larry and Mary Beth's land, which also overlooks Glen Lake. This is the cabin they built on it. | It is so cute! A job very well done. |
The view of Terriault Pass from their land. | Corrine and the girls on the see-saw. |
Mary Beth and Katie. Katie was still acting shy at this point, but she warmed up to us pretty quickly! | After that we all took a drive over to the Sophie Lake area to see the other cabin where some of us were going to be staying. This is some of the scenery along the way. |
These two shots are from the back porch of the other cabin, called "West House". Eric and I spent one night here, it was sweet! | That is Lake Koocanusa you can see in the
foreground. |
Back at the ranch, picking vegetables for the big feed. | Rose has turned the ranch yard into a park! It is so beautiful and peaceful now. Here are some shots of what she's done. |
Here you can see the whole front yard area. | This is the fountain and pond she built, with some help from Dan. |
One of the beautiful flower beds. | The side yard with it's roses and the beautiful view. |
Here is a shot of the ranch house from far away (it's just right of center.) | Here's another shot of the ranch house a little closer up. |
The ranch entry | This shot looks across the ranch land and into the mountains. |
Here is the entry again with the house behind it. | This old tree has been beside the drive for
ages, hope it keeps hanging in there! |
