Memorial Weekend 2002 | |
A gang of us got together for a little trip to
the Hill Country for Memorial Day. We started the weekend with a
concert - Robert Earl Keen's Texas Uprising. Nine great acts in an
outdoor amphitheater in Selma, TX - not the least of which was my beloved
Cowboy Mouth.
The next day we did a float trip down the Guadalupe River on the
busiest float day of the year. It was crazy, but we had a
blast! We spent the night in Austin and headed home the following
day. It was a very good way to spend a long weekend. |

Rob Savoy, Cowboy Mouth bassist |
Fred LeBlanc - lead singer of Cowboy Mouth and one of my very favorite artists. |

Fred came out to watch Robert Earl Keen and stood two rows behind us. He saw me taking pictures of him and he smiled for my camera. Unfortunately, that one came out all blurry. Darn it!! |
Robert Earl Keen, always a favorite |

This is a professional shot of the finale that came up as the "Featured Concert" on Pollstar one day. |

Rex and Lisa enjoyed mooning people | We were loving this little dog, what a sweetie! |
Here, Mark & Tammy are stuck. We assume he is getting an earful about it at this point! |

Waiting for the shuttle bus to take us to civilization. |

Houston Chronicle. Yes, it really was that crowded - but everyone was having fun! |

Home again, home again - it was a great weekend! |
