Quilts I Made in 2026
So far....

Please ignore the broken image links, I'll fill them in as I make more quilts!

Casazza Creations is my Etsy shop name.

229. Baroque Lattice (83 x 98)

Up for grabs in my Etsy shop.

The Historical Village Hand Quilting group gets donated a lot of fabric, which they
sell to raise money for the HV.  I am ever so kind to go to their sales and buy tons
of fabric bargains, including most of the fabric for this quilt.
It's a really neat pattern where you cut a border stripe fabric in a certain way,
then put it together just so and the fabric does all the work of making a
beautiful quilt.  Each block is 10" big and that's all the piecing there is!

The pattern is called Around the Block by Grizzly Gulch Gallery.  I've made it once before.  I love it!

230. Mountain Sundown Lap Quilt (50 x 60)

On offer in my Etsy shop.

The pattern for the center is called "Sundown" by Cathey Marie Designs.
I added extra touches to make it larger.
I did freehand curves for the quilting, except for the sun - I had to do something fun with it.

I used a fleece backing that has the feel of felt, maybe not the greatest choice, but nice enough.  Any kind of fleece backing gives the quilting more puffiness, which looks cool to me.

231 & 232.  Candy Hearts (51 x 79)

For sale in my Etsy shop.

I had a panel of the pretty heart squares that I wanted to use.  I took inspiration
from a Fabric Cafe pattern and made two nearly identical quilts out of that one panel.
I quilted it with freehand hearts in red thread, which really adds interest to the
white fabric.

I made sure to quilt a heart inside of each heart shape.

233. Awareness Hearts (51 x 58)

Purchased at the Senior Center by MIL Rose, for niece Hanna.

This was a free Fabric Cafe pattern called, "Awareness" for breast cancer awareness.  I thought
it suited these fabrics perfectly, and I guess Rose thought so too!

234. Wild Chickens (48 x 51)

Purchased via Etsy by one of Mom's dearest friends and a much-appreciated frequent
customer in Westville, OK.

I had this adorable panel and couldn't bring myself to cut it up to make a quilt, so I just put
borders on it and quilted it.  It's such a cute panel it didn't need my interference.
I love these chickens!

I put an extra-cuddly pink fleece on the back which was very soft.  And I got to see the joyous face of the adorable recipient.  This makes my day!!

235. Rustic Flag QFH Donation Quilt (62 x 82)

Donated to the Quilts for Heroes program at EMQS 2026.

This is my new favorite QFH quilt that I've made.  I love this pattern, which isn't really a quilt
pattern at all.  It was a blanket I saw for sale on Walmart's website. I'm going to make more
of this one!

The wording across the middle reads, "Freedom", "The United States", and "Home of the Brave."

236. Lori's Perfect Peaces (71 x 71)

Purchased by high school classmate Lori.

Once again I broke my rule of "no custom orders". However,
one of the reasons I avoid them is that people are terrible at
clearly communicating what they want.

Lori had a very clear and straightforward request, use the "Perfect Peaces"
pattern by Easy Piecy Quilts.  Use browns and add a rich red border.
I can do that!

It turned out so pretty, maybe someday I'll make another one.

I quilted it with my "signature move" - large flowing freehand curls.

Trying to photograph the backing, which was a beige vine pattern.  It was also the quilt background.

237. Madison's Wedding Shower Quilt (55 x 73)

Given to niece Madison for her wedding shower.

Sometimes when I'm making a quilt for a niece's wedding,
I let them give input.  Sometimes I just make whatever I
feel like making.  I know, bad Aunt!

In this case, I asked her for color suggestions.  She wanted
something for her couch and said they had decorated in black,
gold, and blue.  She sent a short video of their living room and
I saw they had a cool picture of what looked like rock on the wall.
I found this beautiful rock-like fabric called Midas and I love it.

I was afraid of choosing the wrong shade of blue, so I went for
black and gold as my colorway.  The gold came out a little strong
for my taste, so I tried to tone it down with black quilting on it.
The pattern is a modification of a Fabric Cafe design, my go-to pattern folks.

The back of this quilt is really the show-stopper.  It's the most
luxurious feeling black plush blanket.  It's like crack for your hands!

You can see from the picture how very soft that blanket backing feels!   Beautiful Midas fabric.  I quilted that part by following random lines in the rock design.
It looks really cool and 3D in person.
