February 2021 - Sold via Etsy to frequent customer Kimberly from Michigan

63. Heart Happy
February 2021

Made during my first quilting retreat with Scraps 'n Threads.

I made the hearts first and then decided on the layout later,
the layout turned into a group project.  Very fun.

This quilt sold via the Senior Center.

64. Lavender Lattice
February 2021

The lavender in this quilt is a super soft, very sparkly fabric that Joann's
carried for awhile and I just loved it.

This sold at the Rendezvous Quilt Show in 2021.

65. Orange Swoon
February 2021

I am a huge fan of this quilt pattern, "Swoon" by Thimble Blossoms.   I've made it over & over,
trying it with different types of fabric and different cornerstone variations.

This was made out of old sheets so it had the feel of a well-loved old quilt from the first.

It was purchased via Etsy to a man in California, he was going to use it in his camper.
I'll bet it was perfect for that.  I hope it was part of many happy camping memories.

66. Starlight Mountains
February 2021

Purchased via Etsy by Kimberly from MI

This was my first time to try a Block of the Month quilt.  It's a thing where you join a group
and are given a little bit of the quilt to make each month for a series of months.

I really enjoyed the experience, loved the quilt, and have used a technique I learned from it
many times in the future.  My first time was when I added it to my custom borders on this
quilt.  It's that little "bump" in the borders at each center point.  I got the idea for that from
the pink lines that run through the center of the quilt.

67. Foxy Squirrels
March 2021

Purchased via Etsy by a frequent customer and family friend from my home town, Westville, OK.

Name note:  there are foxes and squirrels in the fabric prints

Someone brought a large box of scraps to a guild meeting one day and I picked out these
beautiful prints from the box.  I saw the pattern in a book, and used the scraps to make
the cute triangle border.  I thought this came out SO cute.  I think the backing was fleece.

68. Stacked Blocks
March 2021

Donated to Quilts for Cops, where local police give quilts to children who have been involved in
a situation where they need the comfort of a gift like this.

I attended an antique quilt show at the Conrad Mansion in Kalispell and was especially taken with
a quilt similar in design to this.  This was my first attempt to re-create that pattern.

Snuggly fleece backing.

This was the antique quilt that inspired me.

69. Starburst Flowers
March 2021

Purchased via Etsy by frequent customer Kimberley from MI.

I found the bright floral fabric and immediately felt moved to make something bright
and dramatic out of it.  I think I was successful!

I made this pattern up as I went along.  It was fun & challenging.

70. Doggie Baby Blanket
April 2021

This was sold at the Rendezvous Quilt Show in 2022.

This was a kit I found at Joann's.  It included minky (super soft) fabric
for the front of the quilt.  I was intrigued since I had previously only seen
it on quilt backs.  It was a fun & easy project.

Fleece Lap Blankets
April 2021

Frequent Etsy customer Kimberley from WI reached out and asked if I'd make her
four two-sided fleece blankets for her friends to use at her fire pit.

I'm not a fan of custom orders, but I did this one.

71. Teal Flowers
April 2021

This quilt sold at the Senior Center.

72. Mandela Spirals
May 2021

This quilt sold at the Lincoln County Fair, back when they used to sell your stuff for you.

I found the fabric at the center of the block early in my quilting journey.
I held on to it for years, waiting for inspiration on exactly how to use it.
It finally arrived and I loved how it turned out.

I also was pretty creative in how I did the cornerstones on this quilt,
creating a secondary design in the center.

It looks like it won a ribbon at the fair too, I'd forgotten that!

73. Shabby Chic Irish Chain
June 2021

This quilt sold via Etsy to a lady in California.

I was especially proud of this quilt.  I had some super-soft sheets with roses on them and I let the
fabric lead me into this pattern.  It contained a LOT of fussy-cutting.  It won a ribbon in a quilt show
in the Flathead.  I wasn't very confident in my work then so that lady got a bargain considering the
hours I spent on this beauty.

Third place may not seem like much, but there was some
impressive competition at that show!

74. Soft Blue Sparkle Lattice
July 2021

Sold via Etsy to a lady in MN.

This is another shade of that soft & super shiny fabric I loved.
I made it in the same pattern as the purple version I made earlier.
 I loved them both!

Trying to photograph the sparkle in the fabric, but I couldn't capture it.

75. Katie's Flower Quilt
August 2021

Made for my niece Kathryn for her wedding shower.

At first I wanted to be all scrappy with the layout, but as I
was about to load it on the quilting machine, I couldn't do it.

I ripped this thing completely apart and started over with a
more logical layout.

Final result - order has been imposed!   Each block had a sweet saying on it.

76. Hexie Baby
August 2021

Sold via Etsy to an old friend from Bartlesville, OK.

I was reading a free quilting book on my Kindle one day and became very inspired.

I think I made at least 3 quilts from that lady's book.  It was fun.

77. Triangle Baby
August 2021

Sold via Etsy to a lady in Cheyenne, WY.

The second quilt I made from that free book.  No idea of
the book's name now, but I enjoyed the experiments.

78. Shine On Swoon
August 2021

Sold at the Rendezvous Quilt Show in 2022.

As I've previously mentioned, I love this quilt pattern, "Swoon".

I've lost count of the number of times I've made it.

79. Baby Swoon
September 2021

This quilt sold via Etsy to a man in San Francisco, CA.

I thought the big blocks of a Swoon pattern would make a nice baby quilt so I tried it.  Lovely!

80. Twilight Stars
September 2021

Sold via Etsy to longtime customer Kimberley in WI.

I saw the idea of nested stars somewhere and started designing something that would
include them.  This was a fun design process.  I worked hard on some custom quilting
in the gray space, something that I was not confident about doing.

81. Drake's Modern Mountains

Gifted to my friend Leah for her son's baby shower.

She is an artist and had told me she liked clean, modern designs. I immediately got
this pattern and it was perfect. I ended up making this one two or three more times.

Trying to get a photo of her opening it.  She especially liked the way I quilted a sun in the corner.

82. Happy Sheep

Sold via Etsy to a lady in Chesterfield, VA.

Sometimes I end up with these panels that don't need much help to become a quilt.
This was one of them.  It was super easy to make, but very cute!

83. Walkabout in Blue - FQG Donation Quilt

After I made it, I forgot to take any pictures of this quilt.
Thankfully they selected it as one to show at the quilt
show later on so I got a chance to take a picture then.

"They" are the outreach group in the Flathead Quilt guild
in Kalispell.  They donate quilts to cancer treatment centers,
Casa, and other places around the area.

84. Blue Ticking

I am not sure what happened to this quilt.  I wish I knew!  It was SO soft and snuggly.

Old, soft sheets for the front and a plush blanket for the back.  Awesome!
