Christmas in Oklahoma
December 23 - 28, 2002

We left beautiful, sunny, 70-degree temps in Houston to travel into snow back home in Oklahoma.  Snow is no fun in Oklahoma!  We don't know how to drive on it so it's very unsafe.  Luckily we made it from the airport in Tulsa to Mom & Dad's house safely, and it melted off the roads by Christmas Day.

We had a nice visit with my family and exchanged lots of neat gifts.  We also enjoyed a big dinner on Christmas Day, thanks to my Mom and her good cooking.

Looking out at the snow from our front porch We stopped in the driveway on the way home to capture this pretty shot

Happy Birthday to me!
That's my pretty sister Desirae behind me.

Can you believe this giant pile of gifts?!!   Here's Gran, getting a head start on things

Mom is VERY impressed with something I'm just happy to be here (and spoiled by this pile of gifts!)

This says, "Watch your kid,
she may turn out like me"

Everyone had to come check out Dad's big gift
from Desirae and Justin - a lift kit for his new truck.

On Friday we took a walk on Herbert Wyle's land in Lincoln
Here's Eric looking studly in his orange hunting hat A shot of a rock formation on the bluff line

One of Herbert's dogs, a sweet but silly
one who kept us company on our walk.
Eric, descending into a cave area

Shots of the bluffs and some of the formations

Sheep on top of the hill
A shot up at a tree on top of the bluffs

An arête that Eric would
truly love to climb

More sheep, a different kind of long-haired sheep this time

Here's a blurry shot of Old Main - the oldest building
at the University of Arkansas.  They light it up at
Christmas time and it can be seen all over town.

We spent a fun evening on Friday night with our friends Andrew
& Catherine Nixon. However, I forgot to take a picture of us!
Darn it, guess we'll just have to try again next time....
