Rose hosted a gathering at God's House one evening. Amy took the opportunity to give Uncle Timmy a little manicure. |
The boys, telling big stories as per usual. |
| |
| Deep thoughts from Buddy as he admires a blue sky day. |
We had more than our typical amount of blue sky this winter, along with less snow - score! |
| |
| On a more typical, overcast morning - the sunrise made a neat effect in the haze. |
A lone goose stands on the ice in the midst of an inversion. |
| |
| On a nice day, Buddy and I take a long eBike ride. |
Sweet Pea! The longhorns live at the ranch in winter, so we hadn't seen her for months. |
| |
| I couldn't believe Buddy let her get this close! She wants to lick him SO bad. |
A view of the ranch looking at it from the south. |
| |
| I love that face - and the underbite is a new development over the past few years. |
Sweet Pea's mom is also very friendly. She wanted to lick my bike. |
| |
| It's all fun and games until somebody rolls in poop. Here he is fresh out of a bath. |
I am a sucker for the Canadian Rockies all covered in snow. |
| |
| In the right light, they take my breath away. |
Speaking of beauty - look at these lovely Valentine flowers sent by my parents. |
| |
Rose and I were each other's date for the special Valentine's Day Prime Rib night at the Senior Center.
| More views of the Canadian Rockies |
| When I'm busy and he wants attention, he knows how to get it. |
This was a fancy piece of China from England that had served as Buddy's fooddish for about 8 years. As I was picking it up, my phone fell out of my pocketand ruined it. The end of an era! Now he uses a plain plate like a peasant dog. |
| |
| Brother Dan took on a project to remove some old, unused irrigation ditches from our propertyto make it easier to water it for graze land. He really made some nice improvements! |
Taking Buddy for a snowy walk. You can always tell when Eric isn't with us. He has to wear hiszapper and his tracker around his neck like a bad doggy albatros. |
| |
| The snow looking pretty. |
When Buddy is done with a snow walk, he races to the door and dances there impatiently until I eventually catch up to let him in. |
| |
| Different day, similar walk. |
He was dragging his undercarriage this day! |
| |
| There were coyote tracks down there that he just had to sniff. |
Dancing at the door - with an ice beard going on. |
| |
| This is his, "Dad's been gone too long" face. |
Another walk, this one didn't last very long. He's tired of having his belly in the snow! |
| |
| |
| Driving in and out can be tricky when Eric isn't home to plow for me. |
Our house in the snow. |
| |
| Eric is back now. He's been waiting for just the right conditions to remove this fence post. |
The ice had to be solid enough to hold him, but soft enough to let go of the post. |
| |
| Taking Eric down to visit Sweet Pea. At the right of this photo is baby Henry, one of the 4calves born last year. Shortly after this, he just up and died - no one knows why. |
Rocket claims the coveted spot on Eric's lap for his afternoon nap. |
| |
| Buddy bitterly regrets that he didn't get there first. |
Brother Dan placing Bibles in the foundation of a building. When theyasked him if he'd do that he answered, "Hell yeah!" Oops! |
| |
| Another snowy morning looking pretty. |
Another glimpse of that face that gets whatever he wants. |
| |
| Buddy likes his new bridge, he can better survey his kingdom from there. |
February quilts include this beauty for high school classmate Lori. |
| |
| And this one for Madison's wedding. |
This one is for the Quilts for Heroes program at EMQS in August. |
| |
| This was made by my guild (I did very little on it!) However, it is an amazing work of art - it depicts all kinds of scenes of Eureka. |
