Each year there's a time when Going to the Sun
road is closed to cars but open to bikers and hikers. It's the best
time of the year! We do this trip every single year and it never
gets old. It's just so beautiful - especially to eyes that have been
starved of sun for a long winter.

Here's Heaven's Peak now. Almost 9,000 feet and very
inaccessible.
The Blackfeet called it, “Where God Lives.” |
Next we went a very short way up the Granite Park hiking trail to see a
small waterfall. |

WHAT?! We were unexpectedly turned around just after the
loop. This was far earlier than
usual. They had a lot of vehicle traffic ahead and so they closed the
road very early.
