What a beautiful and fun month!

On our daily walk, we often stop to admire the mules & horses at this spot.

It's also the spot where Buddy always gets to play the pebble game.  Action shot.

He likes to swing his face from side to side in the water, snapping at the surface.  We don't know why.  Now we're at a Cinco de Mayo party at Lisa's house - a combined Casazza/Peterson affair.

In honor of our cricket-eating experience we had in Mexico this January, we served a cricket appetizer.

Amy's cricket is down the hatch - they don't bother her!

Lisa put on a huge spread of amazingly good food.  It was wonderful!

Cooper seems to like whipped cream!

A gang gathers for corn hole and a brief golf lesson for Dan, which ended in him swearing off the sport!   Blurry zoom photo of a pretty red duck in our pond.

We had  a lot of muskrats in the area this spring.

My Mom is so nice to send me little rays of sunshine like this beautiful bouquet.

This ancient fence finally fell over.  A new project for Eric!   Here, Strite moves around 40 mules and horses, on foot, with nothing but a bucket of grain.

It was so fun to watch.   If there's one thing they know, it's follow the leader.

Now our true destination for the day - Kimberley, BC

Next we had an adventure to Canada - here we're in Cranbrook. We enjoyed
an amazing lunch and then saw this old water tower on our way out of town.

It's a very small, very beautiful little ski town north & west of Cranbrook. They have a large pedestrian-only downtown area.

It was empty when we got there, but got busy by the time we left.

They have this fun Bavarian-style clock where the guy comes out and yodels.

This was art that my nephews Brodie & Carter can get behind!   Buddy shows his opinion of art.

Here we are on the very short pathway to Marysville Falls.

The water is picking up speed, we must be getting close!

Very pretty - especially considering it's right in town.   Here Buddy wishes I'd stop picking him up when we're near dangerous drop-offs.

After a walk with Jeb & Amy one day, we invited them back for an impromptu
dinner but the poor doggies had to stay on the porch.  They were so pitiful!

A final glimpse of beauty before sitting in a long line to cross the border back home.

Mark keeps his longhorns on our property, so we got to watch this cute little guy from birth onward.   The loons get so curious, they come up really close to watch when you're near the lake shore.

I saw this cool rainstorm over town one day.

We bought a herd of Angus for our "Montana Mountain Angus" grass fed beef business, but then
we had to sell them.  Our beef business isn't going to happen this year.  Hope they found a good home.

Buddy doing his favorite activity - the pebble game.  When Eric isn't with us, he has to wear his
training collar because he won't always listen to me.

Here's the little baby now, posing for the camera.  Mark named him "FT".

We now operate a cat rest home for these two elderly sweethearts.  They don't move much.

Cute little FT, looking in at me while I work in my office.

Each year a group of Amish go through Dan & Rose's ranch to camp at the end of the lake.
They arrive in horse-drawn wagons that look like the ones that crossed the old west.
Normally, we wouldn't take their picture, but I loved these precious shots of them that one of our
trail cameras caught.

When they come to the lake for a drink each evening, they always make a big, dramatic
production out of it.  Running and splashing into the lake, then running away again.  Drama queens!

The trail cam also caught a bunch of shots of the horses & mules goofing off.

This guy looks like he thinks running is over-rated.   Here's a fine athlete in action, I'm surprised the trail cam was able to catch me at my
lightening-fast speed!

Blurry coyote on the trail at night.  Our ditch rider Ron lets his dog run beside him on the ditch road, that dog is SO happy doing that.

It's like a still out of a movie!   Elk face.

 Coyote butt.  Shawnna butt.

Stryker, Amy, and I on a walk around the lake.

 Elk profile

Scruffy elk.  Branding day!  It's usually a family holiday, but I didn't feel good this year so I skipped it.
Tracie kindly shared a few photos with me though.

Little Hunter is growing up!

Neighbor & friend Jon comes over to help each year.

Ranch kids having fun.

Back at our ranch, we saw this group of elk by the barn one morning.

Beautiful sunset as seen from in front of our house.

I stole these prom pictures from Aubrey's Instagram.   Boyfriend Tyce & Aubrey
at the lodge.
Lane, Braden, and Aubrey at Lake Koocanusa - Abayance Bay, in the wind!

As a quilter, I could totally identify with this image!

This was an old post from the animal shelter that they re-shared.  I loved it!

A photographer named Tony Colvin took this lovely picture of Westville High School.
He  graciously shared it with my home town's Facebook group.
This is where both my parents and my sister and I went to school.
