This month is usually more winter than spring, but this year we got a pretty good deal.  When it was nice, it was very nice - so that makes up for the snowy days.

April 3rd and the ground was white.  This picture is looking toward the mountains but they are
nowhere to be seen!

This is Buddy's "you've been sewing too long" look.

Celebration - the ditch has been turned back on. Hurray!

Mom sent these lovely plants for our 31st wedding anniversary, which was April 9th.

At Passover dinner at God's House.  This is Kristi's new baby, Molly.

Molly won't get much bigger than she is now, and she is SUPER cute.

This picture is to show how much Carter has grown this winter, he really shot up!

Buddy & Molly, sizing each other up.  He likes her better than he likes most puppies, but that
isn't very much.
Carter & Cooper doing a great job of the ceremonial hand washing at the Passover meal.

On a bad-weather day,  I dumped every toy he owns into a pile and it nearly fried his brain.
He climbed right in the middle of the pile and sniffed everything.
Buddy's, "I need attention" face.

Great joy abounds, Buddy has his favorite game back - shallow water pebbles!   At a Senior Center meal with Dan & Rose, I happened to catch Dan with this face going on.
Now I understand where Eric gets his signature snarl!

April 16th, and it snowed HARD that day!

The very next day it was nice again.  I joined Amy, Julia, & Jody for 3 miles of their 8 mile hike.  Views of the Tobacco River along our walk.

Group selfie as Buddy & I bailed out.

I spent an afternoon taking pictures of my quilts outside - and got photo-bombed, Montana style!

The countertop in my pantry had many water stains that drove me crazy, so I did a thing...

Princess Puffy Pants - on her throne.  She spends about 12 hours a day in that chair.

Epoxy!  Corbin Hurst covered my old counter in gray & white epoxy and now it looks great.

Eric returned after a 11-day trip and Buddy was SO happy.   At Easter dinner at Dan & Tracie's house - Carter & Cooper are goofing on the couch.

Little Miss Molly is ready for action.  She is extremely adorable!   Here are three rough-and-tumble ranch kids - Hunter, Lily, and Hanna.

A bad picture, but I didn't get many group shots that day.  It's Lucas, Tracie, Mark, Jeb, Dan,
Carter, Dan Sr., and Chris (Madison's boyfriend.)
It was a windy, chilly day but Lane did the ice bucket challenge anyway.  The kids loved it!

He was up and in the house within seconds of the water dump!

Just a few of the many dogs that joined in the Easter celebration.  We left Buddy at home,
he's too grumpy to be good company with this many dogs!

Kristi tries to introduce Molly to just a few of the dogs.  Here she meets Riggs
(the red dog, Strite's) and Spur (Colter's dog) all of them are less than a year old.

  Colter, turning on the charm!

Kaitlyn & Strite

  Jeb & Amy

Amy made us laugh!

  Madison & Chris

Molly, Kristi, Erik, and Lucas I told Erik he didn't smile for the camera so he had to have re-takes.

Aubrey and her Uncle Mark

Aubrey & Tyce

The kitchen group were swapping hunting stories.

Tracie & Dan, wondering how long all these people are going to stay in their house!

Everyone loves to give Lane grief!

Cody & Ashley

Larry & Dan Sr., giving me a better smile than the one from the Senior Center!   Eric helps Hunter show off his giant biceps.  I love how Riggs is flat-out asleep in the background.

Jeb & Amy went on a vacation and asked me to walk their dogs.
We had some amazing days for dog walking, it was gorgeous!
The Canadian Rockies, showing off big time.

Back at home, one of several muskrats we've had living near the house.  They are so cute.

Stryker said, "What?  You're leaving already?"  Every time I left.

We saw this amazing double rainbow one evening after dinner, it was beautiful.

Buddy is so happy that it's "play in the yard" season again!

I was trying to take pictures of the many horses grazing on the hillside in the sunset, but it's too dark.

There was a leak at the drop which was causing terrible mud.   Poor Dan & Ron spent many hours way back in this hole, trying to repair the leaks.

At the end of April, Eureka has a big festival called, "Rendezvous Days".  There are lots of
different activities, but of course my pictures all focus on the quilt show.

My Woodland Critters - who knows why I made a Queen-sized child quilt?!  A new quilt I recently finished, Magnolia Mosaic

An oldie but a goodie, 'Watercolor Mountains' A Sunbonnet Sue made from very vintage blocks my Mom found in Oklahoma.

This was a small wall-hanging I made as a slow-stitching project.

Hearts & Arrows, a quilt I made for Valentine's Day.

This quilt won third place in the Large Quilt category.

This quilt won first place in the Medium Quilt category.

The ribbon centers are all hand made and so beautiful.

This quilt won second place in the Large Quilt category.
All of these were wonderful honors, but this quilt also won "People's Choice" -
which means so much to me!  I was really touched.

Truer words were never written!    One more quilt I made this month that I really liked, "April Showers"
