Lisa & Larry bringing up the rear with me.

Hike #2 in our Fall group hiking series - McGuire Lookout
Eric & Amy lead the way.

Seems like every hike includes a glimpse of Lake Koocanusa. Enjoying a short breather on the way up.

At the top, Stryker heads for the edge of a cliff every time.  Inside the lookout.  It can be rented for camping.

Someone had hung festive lights.

Looking up into the loft lookout area.

Socializing while we ate our snacks.

  The McGuire Lookout

McGuire written in white rocks next to the lookout.   Eric sharing his crackers with Buddy & Carson.

Me & Amy & Buddy on our way down.  Group photo, there was a bit of a dreamy quality to the camera.

This is mostly to help our ailing memories to remember the trail.  At the Rosh Hashanah celebration Rose hosted at God's House.

After the meal, gearing up for some Shofar blowing.

Cooper was a pro at it.

Lane did fantastic, but got tickled at the end.  Buddy did NOT like the Shofar sound at all, since I wasn't stopping it,
he decided to see if Aunt Kristi could make it better.

Dan & Tracie having fun, while Larry has a cat nap.  Those Casazza boys can sleep anywhere!

Out for a walk one day and we ran into this crew of renegades.
Lane, Lily, and Hunter with Roscoe the dog, of course.

We got a clear view into Canada on this day.

Lane & Hunter were down looking at the trapped fish.  Lane & Tracie ended up rescuing
some of them and putting them back into the lake.

We enjoyed a dinner with Kenna & Coti, then a nice walk after the meal.

Buddy, Eric, and Kenna on the hill above our house.

The sunset was looking beautiful that night.

Until now, I've only seen Northern Lights once in all these years, but this week I saw
them twice! Unfortunately, I'm terrible at taking a picture of them.

Luckily, our local photographer Keith Taylor takes excellent pictures of them.

You'll have to trust me, these are Northern Lights and stars.

Our favorite walk, all decked out in yellow for Fall.  Sunset over E-S Ranch.

Morning sun lighting up the yellow trees.

Eric was out of town so I was in a sewing marathon.
This is my indicator that it's time to take a break.

This one just enjoys getting in the way, he's not sending any messages.   Evening beauty.

These are the noisy toys that Eric has banned on account of their high annoyance factor.

When Eric is out of town, they ALL come out of hiding!

I was trying to do an ab workout, but this happened.

Eric is back!  First item on the agenda is a sleep pile for nap time.   Out for a walk with newly-returned Eric so he can see the beautiful fall colors.

After a lovely dinner with Mike O and Tessa, we joined up with Amy for a long walk.  We are checked out the latest 40 acres that has been added to the E-S Ranch.
We are so grateful to own this property!

They replaced a giant section of pipe that ran for over a quarter mile.  They did almost
everything with donated labor and equipment.  It was very impressive.

GLID (Glen Lake Irrigation District, of which Eric is a member) did a HUGE
project this month on the D-C Ranch, just north of our house.  Eric helped
when he was in town and Buddy & I came down to watch a few times.

Looking up at the ditch where they were laying the pipe, it's approaching the ranch house now.  Looking down into the middle part of the project.

We set up a trail cam to see what came to eat the trapped fish in
the "Hillbilly Hot Tub" inlet of the lake.
We got some neat owl pictures.

Several of this eagle, they look so funny when they walk.  It costs major dignity points!   Airborne squirrel!

Roscoe & Hunter joined Lane & Tracie in rescuing some of the fish before they died.

  A skunk patrolling the area.

We got tons of pictures of these turkeys making a daily stroll through the area.

The best shots from our apple tree camera this month were of this adorable mouse.

Cody with his Cedarcrest Falls quilt.  Rose is covering the boys of
the family in my quilts!
Back in Oklahoma, poor Brodie had a very bad bike wreck.  He spent
a long evening in the ER but thankfully recovered quickly and fully.
