In May, Desirae and I had the great pleasure of
seeing the 2nd show on Hootie & the Blowfish's "Summer Camp with
Trucks" tour. Then Desirae had a business trip to Phoenix on
the same weekend that they'd be playing there, so of course we had to
go!

Once we got to meet Buddy, the long-time bodyguard for Hootie & Darius.
Desirae made this shirt from the picture she took with him then.
The keyboardist Lee saw the shirt and took a picture so he could show
Buddy. |

Here we are at the hotel, getting ready for the big show. That hotel
was a fun place, full of other people also going to the show. |
Edwin McCain was great as always, he's so funny. |

I wish they would record it, I like it better than AC/DC's version!

Our seats were so close they were behind us for the acoustic part of the
show. |

Soni & VIP Lee. We first met Lee years ago and several times
in between, he is so nice.
Desirae also got to meet Soni in the airport once and he was super nice
too. |

Desirae's conference was in a swanky resort hotel, it was like a
vacation just being there!

My sweet sister treated us to a cabana at the private, adult-only pool.
We spent the entire day here and had it largely to ourselves. |

| It was 116 degrees that day, so shade and water were the only ways to
cope. |
That evening we went out for a Korean BBQ dinner. Then I caught my
plane early the next morning. |

| Buddy was so happy to see me again! |
