We got some glimpses of nice weather this month, time to get out and about again!

Our niece and her husband are now running the Montana Wilderness Lodge & Outfitting business which operates in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
They needed a place to pasture their horses & giant mules for a couple of months, so they rented some of our land for them. They were a beautiful sight to behold!

This was Tracie & Hunter with 5 dogs in the UTV.  No running alongside the vehicle for these dogs!

I put a trail camera on the "ditch road" that runs alongside the lake near our house.
I was hoping to catch muskrat or otters, but I got so many other fun things!
First, was this wild and majestic creature, out marking his territory.

One of many turkeys who wandered past.

And no, I'm not going to make a turkey joke about Dan Sr. driving by!!!!
Shame on you for thinking I would!

The mules have draft horse blood in them, they are HUGE.

 Coyote, on the hunt.

I have to say, I did NOT expect to get a grizzly on this particular camera.  I didn't know they went there!

Another coyote on the prowl.  I put a camera at the edge of the lake, also hoping to get muskrat pictures.
I got lots of duck and geese photos mostly.

This is a cool series though - a kingfisher on the hunt.  Plotting... Diving...

A young elk, taking a close interest in my trail cam.

Success!  Now how on earth is he going to eat a fish as big as he is?!!

My niece Hanna was in a play at Timbers Event Center this month.  I missed the play, but was glad to steal this photo of her in action from FB.
Hanna is the blonde girl in a yellow dress with a white apron (or is it a pinafore?)

On the day of our 30th anniversary, we got a call asking if we'd clean out our stretch
of the irrigation ditch.
That sounded like a perfect way to celebrate, so we loaded up the dog & chain saw & took off.

Eric did 98% of the work.  I tossed some branches out and was generally supportive.   We just barely made it to the end of the ditch before the water came rolling in. That was close!

Eric is off again.  Buddy certainly knows what a suitcase is - the bearer of doom and despair.   After Eric returned, we took a long weekend trip to Coeur d'Alene Idaho, one of our favorite towns.
This is the Libby Dam as seen out the window as we made the 5 hour drive.

A lovely view from Bonner's Ferry, a great town where we stopped along the way.  It's a very small
town but they have a quilt shop, a frozen yogurt place, and a resale shop - what more could you want?!
A glimpse of The Coeur d'Alene.  This was the fancy resort where we stayed.

Since it was a "landmark" anniversary, we splurged on a fancy room with a fireplace & lake view.
It was a beautiful resort and a wonderful room.

We happened to get there on the "art walk" evening which was fun.
I saw this piece of art that somehow reminds me of my mother....  :-)
We attended a special event called, "Bourbon & Blues" which sounded fun on the brochure,
but was probably the least fun thing we did that weekend.  Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Sunset from the lawn of the resort.  We had a lovely breakfast the next morning, then took a walk beside the river.

Next stop - Post Falls.  The water was really rushing here!

All that water got crammed into this tiny canyon after it left the falls.

Here it comes out of the canyon and flows under that old bridge.

Happy couple, doing the tourist thing.

Cisco's is a store we've wanted to visit for ages, but we've had trouble catching them open.
This time we made a point of going there at the right time.  This place is amazing!

Every square inch of that huge space is crammed with something museum-worthy.

Now we're back at the hotel, checking out one of the many lounge areas.  The kids at the far
end are some prom kids who had pre-prom dinner at the hotel.

Strolling on the World's Longest Floating Boardwalk.  It had lovely views.

Looking back at the hotel from the boardwalk.  The Roosevelt - an old school that's been converted into a B&B.  We
stayed there last time.  More prom kids could be found there as well.

Almost home and we came across a couple of obstacles in the road.  They did not mind making us wait.  Some of the prettiest views are when we get closest to home.

Dinner at Abayance Bay with Dan & Rose & Larry.  It's beautiful out there.

  Sunshine!!  We've missed you sun.

Another lovely, fancy dinner event at Riverstone Lodge, this time Eric was able to attend.   Celebrating the Passover Seder dinner at God's House with most of the family in attendance.
Here's a room full of Casazza males - Eric, Lucas, Erik, Dan, Larry, & Mark.

At the kid's table, Hunter is trying to shake things up.

  The A-Team - Kenna & Mike O - making progress on Eric's climbing room.

Rendezvous Days is a huge multi-event celebration that happens the last weekend in April in Eureka.
But of course, the only thing I took pictures of was the quilt show!  Our local guild puts it on.

One of my quilts, "Moose Sighting"

Another of mine, "Superbloom" This was my favorite quilt in the show.  It's by my friend Sandi Mason.

This was mine, "Modern Mountains" This was mine, "Lilacs Squared".  I made up the pattern for this one.
This one sold to one of my friends!

New steers have arrived!  They're looking around thinking they've just landed in grass heaven.

Last one, I promise.  I like to call this one, "Peek a Moose".

The sweet face, trying to tell me that he's bored and needs a walk.

I was watching these swans out the living room window, thinking how beautiful they are.  Then they mooned me!!!
