The weather may have been cold, but we still managed to find plenty of entertainment this February.

Swans!  We've had a group of swans living on the lake this year, even raising some babies. They are beautiful, and so HUGE!

Posing for my camera in the evening light.  (Which was probably at 4pm!)

The next few shots are of some eagles who were messing around on the ice.
Here this one visits an unfortunate deer's carcass.

This one is hanging out near where some ice fishermen had cut a hole in the ice.  This guy was walking straight toward me and looked so funny!

Back to back they faced each other...

  Heading for another hunting ground.

We had a lot of coyotes near the house this winter.  I took this picture out of my
office window.  This was a pair with a youngster who hung around near the house
for hours one day.  (Eric wasn't at home or he would have run them off.)

Our trail cam got about 200 coyote pictures, but they were mostly blurry
shots of them running by.  This one is crystal clear though.

The trail cam also caught this majestic beast of the wild.   One day a group of six coyotes came out and messed around on the ice at about 11am.

Four of them running off.

The other two must have been young because they stayed to play
chase on the ice for awhile before following the rest of the pack.

Trying to take a walk when the inversion is right on the ground.

This is the time of year when we prefer to just look outside instead of actually going there.

It's also a chance to share a video of Buddy's heartbreak when Eric goes out of town for too long.

Fresh snow in the mountains.

Buddy found a deer part and was SO proud of it.  He buried it at least 3 times.

One of many reasons why I'm a bad cook - there's no room to move
around in my kitchen!!
Beautiful morning scene with frost in the tree.

Same morning, different beautiful scene.   Speaking of beautiful...  My sweet Feisty was helping me change out the linens on a bed.

Here she helps me with the guest bed, and shows me what she thinks of my attempts to move her.  It's become her morning routine to get in my way while I try to work out.  Of course, I never make her move.

Cross Country Skiing with my good friend Leah at Dog Creek Nordic Center. With a name like Dog Creek, you know they are dog friendly!

Leah took this wonderful shot of Buddy, it's one of my favorite pictures of him!    The creek was still open and flowing through the winter wonderland.  It was very beautiful.

My wonderful parents tried to send me some Oklahoma
sunshine by way of these beautiful Valentine's Day flowers.

We had a very fun night out with Larry at the Trego Community Center.  Our friend Brian plays
banjo in the Deep Mountain bluegrass band, they are great!
A friend of mine was giving away this quilt top because she didn't want to finish it.
I took it, backed it with a super soft blanket, and now it's a favorite couch decoration.

We had a great time at the fun "Eureka's Got Talent" event at our wonderful Timbers Event Center.

Brodie's birthday is coming soon so I made him this pen wrap as part of his gift.

This face means, "OK Mom, you have sewed for long enough.  I need attention!"

Seeing the sky one morning - blessings!   Lily loves to find one of the other pets looking comfortable, then she lays down a little too close to them.
She slowly works her way closer until they can't stand it and they leave.  Her foot is touching his ear!

Professional shots of Aubrey in the basketball divisionals.  Aubrey taking the shot despite some interference.

Also a shot of Braden (in black) and that face in the lower left is Jake, Tracie's nephew.

Oh how I love that face!
